Five Films That I’m Excited For!

1- Little Women (2019)

After seeing a production of the stage adaptation, I fell in love with the story of Little Women. This new adaptation is going to be directed by Greta Gerwig, she directed Ladybird (which I really enjoyed), so I’m very excited to see what she does with it! The cast is filled with so many talented actors: Saoirse Ronan, Timothee Chalamet, Emma Watson, and Meryl Streep. I’m very excited to see it!

2- Mulan (2020)

Mulan is one of my favorite Disney movies. The story is inspiring, it’s funny, and the soundtrack is FANTASTIC. From what I’ve heard, the live-action version of Mulan is going to be much different from the animated. I’m interested to see what the differences are and if this version is going to be more serious and realistic. To be completely honest, I haven’t seen any of the live action remakes of the Disney classics so far, but I really think I’ll give this one a shot.

3-  Legally Blonde 3 (2020)

Now this movie makes me a little nervous. I love the first Legally Blonde movie, it’s a classic. But the second one is… not as good. I have high hopes for this movie and I truly hope it meets my expectations. Do I think it’s going to be as iconic as the first movie? Absolutely not. Am I still going to see it? Absolutely. Even if it is a little cheesy, I’m sure it will still be entertaining. And who knows, it may surprise me.

4- Emma (2020)

I am not only excited for this movie because we share the same name, I also really like the story. If you’ve seen the movie Clueless, you know the general story of Emma, since it’s based off of the Jane Austen novel. Lately, I’ve been trying to read classic books by authors such as Jane Austen, so I’m very excited to see what they do with this adaptation.

5- West Side Story (2020)

This is the movie that I am the most excited for! I’m a huge fan of the musical and original movie. I’m thrilled that they are doing an updated and more accurate adaptation. With a director like Steven Spielberg, I’m sure this movie is bound to be fantastic.
