The East Lyme High School girls volleyball team played the Waterford Lancers Friday the 13th. The Vikings definitely attacked the Lancers with powerful spikes which rallied the crowd leading a 3-1 victory. The team works together to keep energy up:”In practice we try to be as loud and even positive as we can during every drill because that’s a big factor in the game of volleyball. The momentum of the game can change at any point and it’s important to our team that we keep building it. During practice we always encourage each other to do our best and cheer everyone on because we know we can be a great team we just have to dig deep and want it,” said senior Mya Delesdernier. In addition Arielle Vaglio said for her senior year: “I really want to work towards making everyone on our team feel as confident as possible so that we can put our best effort going forward into ECCs and states.
