ELHS does great things during Spirit Week. Here’s a look at the impact we made this year.
The points, the rivalries, and the competition are only a part of Spirit Week here at ELHS. Many students don’t know the extent to which Spirit Week fundraises for deserving foundations and provides for those in need.
Over 1,100 canned goods and over 1,000 boxes of pasta made their way to Care and Share on Friday afternoon. The Food Drive was truly the most successful it has ever been and Care and Share is beyond thankful.
The freshman and sophomores together collected over 400 snack items, condiments, toiletries, and baby supplies. Faculty members have recognized this year’s donations as breathtaking.
The money brought in from both the tee shirt sales and the Dollar Drive accumulated to over $3,000. That money will be split up and donated to three Suicide Prevention organizations, one of which will be local.
The Maroon and White Pep Rally celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first graduating class from ELHS, the Class of 1969. The Alumni Board brought in nine graduates from 1969 and honored them.
