Spring is here! Sort of!
Even though it’s been around 35 degrees almost every day since the end of February, the calendar still points to spring. With spring comes spring cleaning! This doesn’t just apply to your home, this applies to your whole life. Here are some tips on how to clean inside and out.
Clean your room
Pretty obvious, but everyone functions better in a clean space. Don’t just tidy up, but really dig out your old clutter that may be clogging you mentally too. One way to do this is to go through your clothes and donate things you aren’t wearing to make room for new warm-weather clothing.
Let go of toxic relationships
While you work on bettering yourself, you cannot be surrounded by people who bring you down. Part of this cleaning is distancing yourself from those who make you feel bad about yourself, try and hurt you, or you generally dislike. Once you freshen up your relationships, you’ll find it easier to improve your personal well-being.
Try a new hobby
Cleaning yourself includes cleaning out negative energy from your mind. If you feel like you’re in a rut or like you’re repeating the same day over and over every day, try switching things up. A new sport will leave you energized, and learning a new craft will refresh your brain.
Invest in a journal
An easy way to stop stress from building up in your mind is to release those feelings as they come. The problem is that it’s really hard to express your emotions to other people sometimes. By writing down your thoughts and worries in a journal, you’re able to let go of those feelings while still protecting your privacy.
As spring comes and winter goes, remember to take care of yourself and clean up not only physically, but mentally as well.
