Hungry after midterms? Here are some great restaurant options to try after testing

Located at 334 Main Street, Niantic, Gumdrops & Lollipops is the place to lift your spirits after stressing over a mind-draining midterm. Filled with any candy you can think of and a hopping 50s theme, this place is covered with color and is sure to make you filled with happiness. Feast on great comfort food like huge eight-inch pancakes, fried dough, french toast, or hot homemade soups like the corn chowder or loaded baked potato soup. The Good Golly Miss Molly (one pancake or french toast, three eggs, ham, bacon, or sausage, home fries, coffee or tea, and a small juice) will provide you with an abundance of energy to ace the next test.

Café Sol
Everyone is in great need of “brain food” after hours of testing and with healthy salads and sandwiches, your meal at Café Sol is sure to re-energize you for your next test. Café Sol provides a relaxing atmosphere to ease your mind after a tedious exam. The Cuban, Mexicali Rap, or BLaT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato) are all great comfort sandwiches to try out, and with plenty of coffee, your mind will be ready to go home and study for the next test. You can even study in the inviting café located at 346 Main Street, Niantic.

Charlie’s Place
At Charlie’s Place at 26 West Main Street, Niantic, you can load up on comfort foods such as meatloaf, fried chicken with mashed potatoes, and chicken parmesan for lunch or omelettes, waffles (you can even add fried chicken!), and BLTs for breakfast, which ends at noon. The savory chocolate fudge cake, apple pie, or raspberry cheesecake will surely take your mind off the stress of exams.The cushioned dining booths, rooms filled with natural light, and the subtle colors of Charlie’s place will allow for a homey feeling for you to relax, kick up your feet, and indulge in all your favorite foods before getting back to the study grind.
